Developing Compassionate Leaders

Compassion is an essential aspect of a productive work environment. It can be experienced in diverse yet interconnected ways: feeling compassion for others, experiencing compassion from others or directing it towards oneself. Leaders who demonstrate compassion lead from the head and the heart. They listen to, understand, empathise with and support those they lead, thus enabling them to reach their potential and do their best work. In doing so, leaders create a work environment that fosters a sense of belonging, psychological safety and professional fulfilment.
