Nicole Banerji, Associate Consultant

Career background

A Chartered, and HCPC Registered Occupational Psychologist, Nicole has worked in a consultancy role since 1986. Her clients span the full range of organisations: public; private; and third sector; and her work has been applied in settings as diverse as prisons, nurseries, breweries and advertising agencies. She has extensive experience in executive assessment (particularly in healthcare organisations), leadership development, team enhancement (with a particular interest in teams in conflict), and in diversity and fairness issues in organisations.

As part of her leadership development approach, Nicole regularly takes the role as an observer/coach on development centres, feeding back behaviours and insights to not only help people recognise where it would be fruitful to concentrate their development focus, but also to fully understand and capitalise on their strengths a little more. Her breadth of experience helps her to inject and discuss ideas for different ways people can take their development forward, working with, rather than against, the aspects of their style which come easily to them. In addition to facilitating leaders and aspiring leaders in concentrating on their general leadership development, she has also been a key contributor in more specialised development centres e.g. helping leaders develop their personal skills and competencies to move from being a colleague to being a champion with regards to diversity and inclusion.

Working with Impact on a flexible basis for approximately 20 years, Nicole has been involved in many projects including assessment and development centres, career support and coaching, workshop design and facilitation, 360 feedback, action learning and providing leaders with support on diversity issues.

In addition to her consultancy work, Nicole has a small business as a designer/maker. She believes that unleashing her creative potential in her design work has helped her to inject more innovation (and fun) into her work with clients.
