Support & Challenge Group Facilitation

A new support offer for NHS staff navigating change and uncertainty.

With many NHS organisations undergoing significant transformation, redundancies, and restructuring, we know this is a challenging time for individuals and teams. Change brings uncertainty and it can take a toll on confidence, motivation, and wellbeing.

That is why we are introducing Support & Challenge Groups – a flexible, facilitated space for NHS staff to talk about the challenges they are facing, connect with peers, and reflect on what is within their control.

What is a Support & Challenge Group?

Rooted in the principles of Action Learning Sets, these small group sessions (max. 6 participants) offer:

  • A safe and structured environment to talk about real challenges
  • Peer support and perspective sharing
  • Time to reflect, explore options, and identify actions
  • Expert facilitation to guide discussion and create psychological safety

Each session focuses on live issues brought by participants, using structured questioning, listening, and reflection to help move forward with clarity and confidence.

Who is it for?

Support & Challenge Groups are ideal for:

  • Staff experiencing uncertainty, change, or organisational transition
  • Individuals in new roles, facing increased demands or team disruption
  • Teams or services undergoing restructure or integration

What people value from these sessions

“A rare space to stop and think.”
“Reassuring to hear others facing similar challenges.”
“I left with more clarity and practical steps I could take.”
