Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our close-knit and friendly team as an Assistant Business Psychologist. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and well-organised professional, with an excellent attention to detail.

You will be involved in a wide variety of projects, supporting our occupational psychologists and consultants to provide solutions to clients. We will give you the opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as facilitation, assessment and design, across team workshops and assessment centres. You will be qualified or wiling to undertake a qualification to become a Test User in Occupational Ability and Personality to administer, score and provide feedback in both written reports and verbally, to clients and candidates. We are looking for individuals who are interested in either business development or marketing, confident at networking with current and new clients, detail conscious and have a passion for being creative.

The successful candidate will share our values of compassion, evidence-based practice and results driven, will work collaboratively, and be highly motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be someone with high potential who will have the opportunity to develop in the role and use skills that you have gained during your MSc and work experience. Relevant work experience would be a significant advantage.

Job Specification

Programme design and delivery support

  • Research latest theory and practice in Occupational Psychology
  • Assist Occupational Psychologists and Consultants in consultancy projects under supervision
  • Assist Occupational Psychologists and Consultants in developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Support the design and delivery of bespoke training programmes and workshops, including supporting virtual facilitation
  • Deliver 1-1 psychometric feedback to participants
  • Analyse statistical data & conduct thematic analysis of qualitative data
  • Design and deliver assessment centres, including administering, scoring, writing reports and feeding back results of psychometric and ability tests
  • Support with project management and administration on multiple consultancy projects, giving you a wide range of experiences

Building and maintaining internal and client relationships

  • Build and maintain successful relationships with existing and new clients
  • Communicate with tact, understanding and discretion, with clients, when dealing with enquiries or complaints
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Chief Executive, Senior Management and colleagues internally and in external organisations
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times

Marketing and Business Development

  • Contribute to Impact’s social media accounts, ensuring these are updated on a regular basis
  • Assist in the production of the monthly newsletter and writing of new articles
  • Confident and willing to make contact with potential clients and work to develop the client base and the business
  • Assist  Occupational   Psychologists   to   identify   and   pursue   opportunities   for   business development
  • Research marketing events and opportunities for Impact Psychology for Business
  • Attend networking events and working with business development groups to raise the profile of the business
